House of Wonderland Promotional tattoos!!!

So you guys will have hopefully already read my post about House of Wonderland and to save me going into a massive big description I'll link you the blog post right here:

http://beautyasthekatwalks.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/house-of-wonderland.html

About a week ago Tess advertised for some bloggers/customers to take part in a promotional thing with some new products she is testing out! I got in touch and was then asked if I would like to
take part!!

Basically I would be sent one of 2 promotional stick on tattoos she is doing, I would then take a photo and post it to my blog/facebook/instagram etc! I was mega excited because both the tattoos are super adorable! One is a rainbow with House of Wonderland written on it and the other (which I got) is a heart with loads of cute little things inside including a Totoro and a shell with the word Mermaid across it!! Anyhooos heres some photos I took of it!! :)

I'm not really sure why I decided to put it on my foot, I just thought it would look really cute there!!! I really love how it looks it stayed on all day until I had a shower then It came off :( But it said in the instructions it would do that. It was really simple to use! A LOT easier than those tattoos you have to use water to transfer them onto the skin!! With these you just peel the back off and your good to go! The only problem I had was getting the back peeled off but I think that might of just been me haha!!

Here's a better picture of the actual tattoo. Look how cute!!!!! I love it!!

As I said in my review of them, HOW is one of my absolute favourite online jewellery store! It's everything I love rolled into one and if you love Kawaii, Superhero, My Little pony, Rockabilly, Tattoos, Disney and all that good stuff then you should definitely go check it out!! You can do this at:

See you next time!

£30 shopping Challenge!!

So, I have a tendency to spend A LOT when i'm shopping. Like every other girl I know I go into town to buy an essential and I leave with about 10 other "essentials".

So when I decided I was going up to Silverburn (a shopping centre just outside Glasgow) to get a birthday present for my Mum and a few "essentials" L suggested I try and set myself a £30 limit. I accepted the challenge and this is what happened.

This is what I got from Boots:

This Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer is AMAZING!!! It makes your dark circles, blemishes and discolouring just disappear!!! I use it in No.2 Light.
It cost me - £4.99

Next is this Collection 2000 Hot Looks nail polish in Electric Dream. I normally don't buy Collection 2000 nail polish because I feel like they don't have the best colour range but because I spent over £4 on the Collection 2000 Concealer I got to choose a free nail polish. I'm not crazy on this colour so I havent tried it yet, but it was the only one I remotely liked the look of!
Cost - free

Now....These I discovered about a month ago while doing a late night food shop with L and after using them just once I fell in love!!! They are the Garnier Fresh Essentials Cleansing wipes with Grape Extract. They remove waterproof make-up completely (as well as normal stuff obviously!) as well as removing dead skin cells and also tones and purifies at the same time! They smell lovely and fresh and leaves your skin feeling lovely and smooth! I sometimes use these in the morning as well as a face wash just because I feel it leaves my skin smother before applying make-up than my face-wash does!!! So I picked up another packet!
Cost - 3.25

The last thing I got on Boots was this Natural Collection eye liner in black. I saw Fleurdeforce talking about this in a budget make-up look she filmed on her youtube channel (definitely forth checking out she is awesome!!) and so when I saw the Natural Collection stand I thought Id grab this since Im needing a new black eye liner anyway. I've used it a couple of times since and its safe to say that although it's cheap its definitely quite high quality! I put it on in the morning and its still there 6 hours later! Love it!
Cost - £1.99

So thats everything from Boots and that came to a total of £9.43

Next I went to Superdrug (btw sorry for any Americans or other nationalities reading this you probably won't know what Boots and Superdrug are! They're basically like CVS or  Walgreen from what I can see!) here's what I got:

The Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. I think I'm Soft Beige but it doesn't say what shade it is on the bottle and I can't remember what shade I ended up being!!! I have fallen in love with this foundation!!! It is beautiful on the skin, It brightens it and gives you a fresh awake look! It build really well and doesn't cake when you do! I just absolutely adore this makes my skin look!!
Cost - £8.99

Last for superdrug I bought the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Papaya. I put this on my toes pretty much as soon as I got home and I love it! I put a bottom coat because I had heard that the Gelly paints can stain your nails but there's no need for a top coat. You can see below how shiney they look and this photo was taken a week ago and they still haven't chipped at all! Really worth checking out! The only thing I'd say about this was that I was disapointed in the way It looked on my finger nails but I think thats maybe because my hands aren't tanned at all but my feet have a little tan which the colour reacts lovely with!
Cost - £3.99
Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Papaya

I did actually buy one more thing in Superdrug, I got a little eyeshadow duo that had a lovely pink and a sort of light turquoise in it from 2True which cost me £1.99 but somehow before I got home It had smashed so I had to put it in the bin.

So at Superdrug I spent a total of £14.97.

Which means!!! The total money I spent was £24.40!!! Total Success!!! I stayed well under my limit with a fiver left over!!! So proud of myself!! I stuck to things on the list I had made up and I didn't buy anything that I didn't go there to buy! The only thing I didn't find was a bronzer and highlighter but I didn't see any that I liked.

I definitely learned a few things while doing this challenge and I thought I'd make a list of tips for you guys!

1. Set yourself a budget. Try and stick to something realistic for the items your wanting to purchase. For example, don't set £10 if your going to buy a foundation, concealer and nail polish. For good quality £10 would not do!

2. Write out a list of things you want to get and add up what they might cost you. If you know in advance what your going to spend and your under budget you'll be able to get 1 or 2 nonessentials!

3. Take a friend you trust to help you stick to your budget. Taking a friend who is a big spender will just make you want to spend more and if your like me, you'll end up doing just that! Also taking a friend will make the whole experience more fun!

4. Definitely stay away from the make-up counter girls!!! They're job is to make you spend spend spend! If you do end up talking to one STAY STRONG, explain your shopping on a budget and are only looking for one thing. Hopefully they will understand and not push you into buying extra things!

5. Keep in your mind that you don't have to go for low cost products. With make-up you get what you pay for a lot of the time so be careful! If you stick to your budget but only leave with a few things don't worry! You stuck to your budget, got your essentials and will probably be pretty happy with the quality etc! Not coping with a lot of rubbishy quality stuff that you hate! Be proud of yourself!

So I hope this post was an interesting one and helps you see that even on a budget you can get some really great essentials and some nonessentials too!!

Hope your all having a great Tuesday and I'll see you next time!

Outfits of the Week!!

Hi guys :)

I just wanted to let you know that I do have posts on their way. I'm just struggling to find time to get them done!!!

Can you believe it's already August???? This year is going crazy fast! I feel like I have to sprint to catch up with it!!

Anyway!!! To keep things moving on here I have two outfits of the week for you from this past week. I only had two days off, one I just lazed about and the other I met some friends for coffee (outfit is below) but on Wednesday (the last day of July :'( ) was my Mum's birthday so I got to dress up nice for that. My little sister is away this week so it was just My parents, L and Myself. It was a lovely meal and such a nice way to spend the evening of my beautiful Mum's Birthday!! So without further ado here's the outfits!

This outfit was for my Mum's birthday dinner :)
Skirt - Topshop
Tank - Topshop
Blazer - H&M
Bracelets - Sonnenschein Crafts (http://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/SonnenscheinCrafts)
Necklace - The Naked Daisy (https://www.facebook.com/daisy400?fref=ts)

Here's a really strange looking photo of my face! I wanted to get a photo of my make-up and the jewellery (It will be in an upcoming post on the designer of the jewellery)
For make-up I just kept it really simple with just a light dusting of shimmery pink eyeshadow on my lids and mascara!

This is an outfit I wore for going to get coffee with friends :)
Jeans - I honestly can't remember!
Coat - La Roudette
Scarf - Sainsbury's
Bag - Topshop

For my make-up here I did a slightly light smokey eye using pink and brown tonnes with a red shadow which I used as an eyeliner. I then used some red/pink lipstick and a little rouge to finish the look off! I ended up using this look the again the nest day because I loved it so much!

So thats it for this mega quick Outfits of the Week! I'm working on a few other posts which will be up very soon I hope they include Summer favourites and a Budget Haul and a project which i'm working on too!!! So make sure you look out for them!

Until next time

I'm Baaaack!!

Hello!!!

I just wanted to put a little blog post up just to let you guys know that I'm fine and to apologise for being totally MIA in the past few weeks!! I went on holiday with my family so I didn't have any internet access.

Now, I had planned on taking photo's of my outfits each day but I totally forgot to do it!!! So I thought i'd just put up just a few photo's from my week away :)

We went to Chester and stayed in my families touring caravan. I only go on holiday with my Parents and sister once a year and normally L comes with me but this year due to work he couldn't come with us so I went down and met them on my own!

So as I said i'm just going to add a few pictures of things I saw/did on my holiday and I hope it's not too boring for you!!

Before I went on my holidays I did my usual 'holiday nails' and this time i decided to try a mickey mouse inspired design. I'll do a post about how to do this another time.

This is probably one of the only full length photos I got! Myself and My sister at the top of a mountain in Wales. I'm wearing: H&M dress with Jack Wills flip flops
I dont know where My sisters outfit is from Sorry guys!!!

French pleats are really popular this summer and my Mum is amazing at them so I had my Mum do one in my hair. For the hot weather (38degrees!!!!) this style was perfect, it kept my hair off my face and off my back which helped me keep a little cooler! I just had to remember to put suncream on my back and face!!!

On our last day we went into Chester and to Chester Zoo, In Chester itself there is a little cafe based on a little well known TV show called FRIENDS!!! My sister and I are obsessed with Friends so this was a real highlight to our holiday! The cafe is called Central Perk and is set out exactly like it is in the show, miss-matched couches and coffee cups and it serves all the American food and drinks the guys ordered in the show!! Another cool thing was that around the room there were giant TV screens showing episodes of the show!!

This was a little table set up just as you walked in!

So that was my holiday summed up in just a few photo's we done a lot more than whats in those photos but I didn't want this post to be massively long and boring!!

I'm not sure what my next post will be about, maybe my Summer favourites??

Right, i'm going to go and get ready and go into town to meet some friends

Have a lovely Thursday!!

Beautifully Disney

So in the past few weeks i've managed to collect a few items from the Spring collection of Beautifully Disney.

If you don't know what Beautifully Disney is it's a collection of high quality make-up available in Disney stores and online. Springs collection is based on 4 Princesses and their corresponding villain. They are: Snow White & the Evil Queen, Ariel & Ursula, Cinderella & Lady Tremaine and Aurora & Maleficent
Theres 8 nail polishes, lipglosses and 2 eyeshadow palette's one for the villains and one for the princesses.

I bought: The Enchanted Kiss Palette, Diva of the Deep nail polish, Mystic Mermaid lip gloss and Envy of the Ball lip gloss.

I really love the look and size of this palette, it's easy to hold as it's quite petite but at the same time you get a generous size of eyeshadow
The first colour is a gorgeous shimmering pink colour that also works as a gorgeous cheek blush for a perfect summery look! The second shade is a brown shimmer with gold flecks through it, I was a little disappointed with the pigment, even when really packed on the gold sparkles don't come through! Next is a beige/white colour that is perfect as a highlight for the brow bone or for blending on a smokey eye look, The final colour is a satin lightish brown.

This nail polish caught my eye immediately! My favourite colour is purple and my favourite movie is The Little Mermaid!! So naturally I HAD to get this!! I love love love this colour, i think it's the perfect polish to represent Ursula.

Unfortunatly I didn't have time to clean my nails up before i took the photo so i apologise!! But the colour of the polish makes up for it!! The only thing this picture does't show you is the shimmer that is through the polish which just makes it even m0re perfect!

The lipglosses I got are really pretty! Envy of the Ball is a deep red with gold shimmer through it, although the gold doesn't come through all that well when it's on. Mystic Mermaid is a pale pink shimmer that looks stunning on the lip!
Swatches below! (sorry for the rubbish quality!! Seriously I apologise!!!)

All in all i'm pretty happy with my purchases! And now all I've got to do is wait for the Sephora Ariel palette! (HURRY UP SEPHORA!!!!!!!!!)

Peace!

HAAUUUL!!!

Hi Beauties :D

So I have quite a big haul for you!!! I got payed for the first time this summer on Friday and so did L so we decided to go into Glasgow on Saturday and treat ourselves! Here's a few pictures of us before we left! (yes we are big posers!)
OOTD: Dress H&M, L's Shirt Topshop
OOTD: Dress H&M, Cardigan Jack&Jones, Tights H&M, Leather Jacket New Look, Boots Red Herring
Slightly better picture of the dress

It turned out that I was the one to do most shopping (not really surprising tbh!!) L only bought 3 shirts for work. Although he has spent every day since looking at really expensive things he could buy!!!

My bags at the end of the day, I also bought a plain black snapback from H&M and some Dove shampoo but they're nothing exciting so I left them out of the haul

We started our day in PULP, an alternative clothing store which I adore!!! I just love how they sell the perfect mix of grunge and girly clothing. They have band merchandise, rockabilly dresses and then the cute girly clothing. I got....

Goodie Two Sleeves, I <3 Dino flight bag.
I love love love this!! L and I have this thing about dinosaurs, tbh it's more him than me but I still love them. He spotted this and I just had to have it!!!

Newbreed Girl Fantasize Unicorn Vest
I love unicorns (did you know they are Scotlands national animal??!! Go on Google it!!) and anything fantasy!! So I fell in love with t-shirt the minute i set eyes on it!

Punky Pins Chunky Seahorse Necklace
So... this was a last minute buy. I was at the till, my other items were being wrung up and I spotted a case full of sparkly things! I went over for a better look and spotted this along side a mermaid and a Narwhal (google them too!! They're amazing!!!). For being such a fan of mermaids I think I surprised myself when I didn't pick the mermaid one but I just preferred the seahorse! The mermaid looked kind of squashed...
ANYWAAYYY...I got the seahorse and I love her!!!

Our next stop was DISNEY STORE!!!!!!!!!!! The problem was it was packed! I'd forgotten that it was the first day of the Summer holidays and it was a Saturday...The que was all the way round the shop which meant you basically had to join the que and look and pick as you moved down it! I new what I wanted to look at mainly anyway but I wish i'd got more time to look around properly! I ordered some bits of the Beautifully Disney collection last week ( a eyeshadow palette and a nail polish) and I decided I wanted more of it! I was so excited to find out that Beautifully Disney was part of the massive sale Disney is having at the moment!!
I bought.... Envy of the Ball, the Lady Tremaine inspried Lip Gloss and Mystic Mermaid, the Ariel inspired Lip Gloss.

Envy of the Ball box (the Mystic Mermaid box has a shell on the top)

Envy of the Ball is a gorgeous pink-red with stunning gold glitter through it! Although the gold glitter doesn't come through on the lips as well as it does in the tube it still looks stunning on!

Mystic Mermaid is a peach shade with peach shimmer through it. It creates a gorgeous nude lip.

After some lunch we went to Forever 21! This store is new to Glasgow and i'd only been in it once before and I absolutely adore it! They have great quality clothes for amazing prices and they have such a massive stock that is spread over 3 floors! I bought...

The owl tank top was something I had seen on their online store but had completely forgotten about until I saw it hanging on the end of a rail! I really like how the eyes stand out! And I've been looking for a pair of nice pair of bleached look jeans for a while now so these are just perfecte vest I've been looking for a pair of nice pair of bleached look jeans for a while now so these are just perfect

I wasn't really looking for a new compact mirror but this was at the till so it was your typical impulse buy!! It's that gorgeous mint green that is everywhere at the moment and it has kittens on it!!

Another impulse buy!!! A set of eye brushes (again in that gorgeous green) that are actually enscribed with what the individual brush is for which I thought was a great idea! I've used them once since I got them and i'm really happy with the quality of them! They're really soft as well which is a plus since a lot of brushes I have seem to be almost sharp feeling and make my eyes water!

We walked past The Perfume Shop and I realised that I hadn't bought a nice perfume in a while and since my favourite Nina Ricci perfume was nearly at the end I thought why not?!

Paco Rabanne Black XS for her.
I absolutely adore this sent!!! I'm not great at describing scents though so i've just taken the description from The Perfume Shop's website...
  • Heart notes
Charming, feminine middle note with black violet, cocoa flower
  • Top notes
Audacious and sparkling top note with pink pepper berries, cranberry
  • Base notes
Addictive and passionate base note with patchouli and black vanilla

It's also described as Floral, Mysterious, Rebellious and Sensual!

Our last stop before getting the train home was Lush, I was going to walk straight past it but the smell dragged me in!!! I spoke to a girl who worked there and asked her if she had anything that would help my combination acne prone skin that got proper big spots, not just little red spots that appeared and disapeared the same day, proper spots that you can feel for days before you even see them and then are around for days after they finally appear!! She was lovely! She new exactly what I was talking about and exactly what she was talking about. She picked 3 of the face scrubs out (Catastrophe Cosmetic, Cosmetic Warrior and Cupcake) and explained exactly what each one did, how it would help my skin, let me smell them and was genuinely interested in me as a person. She gave me lots of compliments on the good points of my skin but didn't seem to push me to buy any of the products! I did though and went for Cupcake...

'This mask has linseed infusion to nourish and soften the skin, fresh mint for toning, cocoa butter to moisturise and rhassoul mud to absorb grease and give a deep cleanse'
(I took that straight off their website because I couldn't remember exactly what it does!!)
I haven't tried it yet but I am going to later on today so I will let you know my thoughts!

We finished the day at a restaurant in Ayr called Mr Basrai's World Buffet which was amazing!!!!!

All in all I would say that was a pretty successful shopping day! I feel bad that L didn't get much but he says he doesn't mind! I spent a little over what  expected too but my excuse is that it was my first pay and it's summer!!! (Don't know if my Mum and Dad will buy it though!)

Oh!!!!! As you may notice from the pictures above I changed my hair colour! I'm now purple with lilac dip dye! My lovely friend Anna spent 4 hours bleaching and dying on Friday night and 'Mermified' me (as L called it)! I am so happy with the way it turned out!

Before & After
That isn't the best photo of the colour tbh, you can see it better in the photo's above.
Here's a little Link so her Facebook, she does gorgeous work!
https://www.facebook.com/HairCreationsByAnna

So there you go, I hope you enjoy this and it isn't too long and boring for you!!

I think there'll be a post about the Beautifully Disney products i've got later today, but as usual we'll see!

Have a great Tuesday :)
